IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN ...

I've been absent without leave for a few weeks from Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday (WOYWW) but am pleased to report that I managed to remember to organise myself this week (I usually remember on Thursdays) ... and took a picture of the desk on Tuesday! So here it is, and no surprises to find that the desk contains evidence of the art journalling which has now taken over my life! You can also see my Cath Kidston pink spotty mug (present from DD1), my brilliant Tim Holtz scissors which make it possible to cut out with my arthriticky hands, and the fine glue bottle with which I do nearly everything.
And here's a close-up of the page I was working on, and I changed to working in landscape rather than portrait to further illustrate my message about changing your point of view .... subtle stuff eh? There is of course a story behind this page, but let's just say that I learned the hard way ...

And below is the finished page, snapped first thing this morning. If you are also of a nosey disposition and love seeing other people's work spaces, then get on over to Julia's place to see hundreds more ...

What a fun journal page. I'm tempted to start art journaling, but then remember I have sooo many pictures to scrap first.

Yuur journal looks great and I'm glad that you can craft, one of my best friends mum has a very debilitating time with the same condition, her passion is sewing :)

when you do your block, bold writing on your pages, how do you do it? do you sketch it first? or just write straight on? i struggle with this, i hate my writing :(

That's a journal to treasure: bold and exciting. It makes me want to keep turning the pages.

And I think I will steal that idea about turning papes the other way for impact.

Lovely to see you back Rosie, I've missed your pinkness. Glad you've continued with the art journal, and loved the beach hut from an earlier post!

Your pages are getting better and better! Each page must take an age - they are so beautiful.

I'm in LOVE with that journal. The colors are perfect, and the POV is really emphasized by the turning of the page (so to speak). This has got to be one of the best journals I have seen in a long time. I'm not much for journaling, but I know what I like. Oh, and that's a cute mug, too. Happy WOYWW from #1.

Thanks for your comment, Rosie. I adore background techniques and I've been wanting to start journaling as soon as I discovered something like that existed! It's just difficult to get the ball rolling! I'm going to start following your blog, I'm sure that will inspire me!

Do you know what Rosie, I think this journalling has allowed you to become a little fast and loose with your tidying up genes, your desk looks really quite relaxed!
