WEDNESDAY AGAIN ALREADY???
Blimey, Wednesdays don't half come around regularly these days ... and it's time for What's On Your Workdesk again - I blame Julia, it was all her idea. So here we are again having a good ole nosey around each other's workspaces. Today I am mostly sewing bits of felt, as you can see. Made my daughter a cover for her iphone and then sort of couldn't stop, so made these as well! Now I can't think for the life of me what to do with them - I haven't got one of those luscious gadgets myself, although I live in hope (not much because DH says I don't need one). What's that got to do with anything?? Maybe I'll start aspiring to an Apple Tablet instead - if I win the lottery ... In the meantime, maybe I should start an Etsy shop for mobile phone covers??
You may like to pause and admire my special system for organising embroidery silks, which is an original design of my own? This is how you make one.
1. Send out for takeaway
2. Eat said takeaway (spiced chicken and cashew nuts if you're interested)
3. Wash takeaway container (or better still, get somebody else to do it for you)
4. Use container to hold neat skeins of embroidery silk
5. Ponder at length how said neat skeins turned into tangled MESS? Come on now, who did that??
Other items of note include card for friend, trusty fine-tip glue bottle with which I do just about everything, and picture cut out of magazine for my inspiration file. No coffee so far, but the kettle is ON if you want to pop round?

Lol!! at the embroidery silks! (my ribbons have a habit of doing that, even though they are sorted in boxes). You mentioned on my blog about mini easels - I've been trying to get hold of one (no IKEA nearby) and would end up paying more for the postage - think I might have another look around the blogs - meanwhile I'll give the spiky thing a try. I used to put cards on the windowsill to photo - perhaps ought to try that again - sorry, I'm waffling ... x
tell your husband from me that yes you do need one.... like i need a cover for mine, get selling
Hi Rosie thought I would join in on the fun your desk is very tidy like what you are working on, happy wednesday. Christine x
Love the mobile covers they are so cute. Mmm my embroidery skeins are all in a muddle too. They like living like that though or they wouldn't do it!!!!
I have decided to make my own wee house with my crafty boxes. I am in temporary housing just now so think thats the next big crafty thing for me!!! LOL Thanks for poping by my blog xo

They are lovely phone covers..sadly I would not qualify either. Same reasons as you; apparently I don't need one. But I do reeeeaaaally. As for the curious case of knotty skeins...my word, I cannot help. But I have a similar problem with a small amount of ribbon...will show you tmorrow!
Oh my goodness that system is pure genius ... I cannot wait until 5pm when the local chinese opens ... I need to try it out :0)
Fab phone holder Rosie - yes why not start an Etsy shop as you could make all sorts of wonderful things in the same manner :) Heehee made me laff about the embroidery silks ;) I keep thinking of buying a colander to store ribbons with the ends poking through the holes but it's finding a way of hanging it so they don't fall out!

Love the phone holder. A x
Great phone covers, I'm obviously in the minority in the "don't need one, don't want one" category when it comes to new gadgets! Love the card btw.

love the phone covers they look fab. Sort of thing my daughter and her friends woudg for. Hugs pam
Lovely mobile phone covers, you could definitely sell those on Etsy. I like your instructions for embroidery silk storage, but I can only master steps one and two LOL
I'm pretty sure I need an iphone as well but strangly my DH tells me I don't! it's just so unfair! I think I might have to make a cover for it and then he'll have to buy me one ;)
Those felt covers remind me of a rather gorgeous brooch I have with the neatest blanket stitch I have EVER seen :-)
As for those plastic boxes - they are the only reason I eat take-away curries.......
