This is the room which will become my new Studio when we move. I didn't like the (grubby) old carpet and although I do like yellow it doesn't go with pink does it? Anyway, see below for the new improved Studio, complete with new flooring - I wanted laminate but could only afford posh lino, though it looks GREAT! It now boasts spotty pink curtains and once I get my new white Ikea furniture in there I'm hoping it will all come together. Since I have to rest a lot, this will be where I spend the greater part of my time. Not sure about the Ikea spotlights either ... maybe I can find a sparkly chandelier when the sales are on??
After much deliberation I had the walls painted white - which may seem boring but I've got so much pink stuff anything else might have been overkill! Am debating whether to paint the shelving white too - there's lots more of it not shown in this photo. More pictures to follow in a couple of weeks after I get there!

Oh my, it IS exciting! I love white - such a great statement in its own right and your pinks will blossom against it. Like the view from your window too - greenery and trees are so nourishing. And how wonderful to be able to prepare the room before you move. God bless Ikea, I say!
flooring looks great, as do the white walls. Oooh, a room all to yourself to create in. I am jealous, so jealous I think I may have turned green.

Rosie, what a heavenly room, the light coming in makes it really bright and cheerful, and I'm sure with pink spotty curtains it will be just begging you to stay in there and play! I hope having such a nice room to look forward to helps you with your moving collywobbles xx
Creating your own space is so exciting! Love the bright windows and white. So many opportunities there Rosie...will be fun seeing it come together.

No white is not boring at all its a blank canvas and at the heart of many a beautiful and inspiring studio...its going to be wonderful Rosie! Look how much you have changed it already!
