THINKING PINK AGAIN

Seem to be in pink mode again ... partly because I've been doing some work with pink images made for breast cancer awareness. Promised myself that I wouldn't make any more ATCs for a while, but somehow this one crept in under my guard.

I've been working on some more collage techniques too - if you look at my other blog you'll find examples for my Stuff Book (couldn't think of a theme, so its just "stuff").

Got a plate of new stamps from Lost Coast (I just LOVE their stuff) of which this is already my favourite. It works in so many ways and is easy to cut out. Although I swore that I wouldn't make any more ATCs this month (39 already) couldn't resist a little play .... now off to make some curtains for the landing.

I find I have made 36 ATCs this month - think this is a serious addiction for which I may need treatment! I'm still working on using a range of colours, rather than taking refuge in the brown and vintage look, and I am liking the results.

Got some new stamps today (obviously I needed them although I have hundreds already) so promised myself time to play with them soon. Watch this space for the results!

A BIT PINK THIS ONE

Since I "retired" I seem to have gone in for pink in a big way! When I was working I used a sensible black filofax, now I have a pink one .... you get the idea. So far this hasn't necessarily extended to ATCs but this one is definitely heading in that direction. The central motif is stamped, embossed, painted with Twinkling H20s and then mounted.

I just LOVE old photos of Native Americans, such strong, noble and sometimes cruel faces. Have had it in mind to make a set on this theme for some time, and here it is.

I'd prefer to trade them as a set, but willing to consider splitting them. The leaf stamp is one of my favourites and seemed just right for this set.

Dream a little dream ...

Dream is a recurrent theme of mine - I supposed because you can interpret it in so many ways. The left hand pair feature stamps from a favourite set of tickets which I seem to use all the time. In the green one on the right the "dream" definition was stamped onto tissue and then layered onto the card.

These two are quite different from one another - as you can see I like to work in all kinds of different media, though mainly using collage images and rubber stamps, in fact I'll use anything! I'm a scrapbooker too so I use many of my odds and ends up on ATCs, although lately I buy more and more stuff just for this purpose. After all, you can never have enough!!

I make so many ATCs (can't seem to stop) that I need to begin swapping in a wider forum. These were made when I realised that I was making too many brown vintage designs, so I challenged myself to do something MUCH brighter, and got out some cheerful paper to work with.
