WOYWW Scrapping!

It's Whats On Your Workdesk again over at Julia's place. I love to do altered art but actually the thing I do most of (and teach) is scrapbooking, so that's what on my workdesk today. Unlike card-making (which I also do and teach) you get to keep what you make, and I have some lovely memories to treasure in my albums. There are unfortunately rather a LOT of them now, but they are definitely the things I would save in a fire ...

So anyway, this is what I've been working on - and yes I do consider that a messy desk, although you may notice that the painting water is no longer green, so am not a complete slut! That red block at the back is a project in progress to make a chunky ATC and has had its first coat of Fired Brick crackle paint. Under my scissors are the new Paperartsy stamps I bought last week and am still figuring out how to use - not as easy as I first thought! Those clear stamps on the left have to be my favourite set ever, and they turn up on so many of my layouts its getting boring. That little white glue bottle is the thing I use for absolutely everything - I decant PVA into it from a larger size, and it has a really fine nozzle which is easy to control. I even stick photos with it.

And below you can see the (more or less) finished project - I'm still looking at it and going "does it need something .....?

The thing which has worried me about this journal your year project is what a boring life I appear to lead ... must get out more!!

    Great pages, i keep meaning to do a bit more scrapbooking but its never really addicted me to it, i'm happier with the altered side of things but maybe one day!

    Lovely to see your work in progress, those clear stamps do look very useful and I love the Paper Artsy stamps, they look like they would be great for making grunge flowers.

    Standing in your open doorway in jeans and a tiara doesn't really give off the 'boring life' label! Your pages look great - and I love the pink-ness of your new decor! I'm a PVA fan too - DH uses it a work by the 25 gallon container, so I decant it into squeesy bottles and then smaller..it's a skill is all I can say!

    Your desk looks messier than mine today Rosie - I know, shocking, eh? hehe never mind hunny, by the time I took a second pic it was getting back to a more normal state.

    Not being much of a scrapper I can't comment much save to say I think the LOs are looking great

    Maybe I should try scrapbooking... your pages certainly are inspirational, however, I think I would need a greater working area if I wanted to work on 12x12 paper!
    I'll have to see what I can do. I loved the comment that you get to keep what you do when you scrapbook. How true!

    No way is that untidy lol that is a very tidy space compared to mine. I think your layouts are just fine, the flowers on the left side are gorgeous.

    Love all your journalling ...I hate my writing so rarely hand apply it. Your LO's are like a journal ...telling a story ...love the 'candidates' Andy Warhol style lol

    Love the organized and neat desk, even when it's not neat! Like you, I prefer order to chaos. And yes, I finally made it, after a cat nap.

    I wanted to suggest that you might want to prepost your TT post and set it for Tuesday. Then you won't have to remember to post on Tuesday. Just a thought. Regardless, have a great WOYWW.

    I love how you think your desk is messy :) it's a picture to look at!!! loving the colours you have used in your LO. I would also stop nad collect as many of my scrapbooks as possible in the case of a house fire. I think the dogs would have to help me carry them though :)

    I think your layout is wonderful!
    And your desk seems pretty good organized! I mean... you even have room for a full scrappage on yours. When there is only space enough to make a small atc, then its time to tidy! lol
