WAITING

NOW TRADED
The theme this week on TGIF is to use green, which has long been my favourite colour (before I took up pink) and yet somehow I don't use it very much.

This piece started with a scrap of sage green card, which I overstamped with a French script from Stampin Up. I absolutely love images like this from the pre-Raphaelites and can't get enough of them. This graceful maiden just appealed to me and there are lots of greens in the image.

I overlaid it with lace, and added a flower from a Paper Whimsy collage sheet. The final touches were a brass bee, a corner stamp and the word (from a sheet of words) "waiting". It just seemed to fit somehow - my green lady has a quality of stillness about her and I can almost imagine her waiting patiently - for someone or something.

It feels SO good to be making ATCs again!! I've missed it. I sometimes wonder what on earth to DO with all the stuff I make, but I never worry about ATCs because even if I kept them all they wouldn't take up much space. I've been swapping for years and have still only filled 3 ring binders.

I love your comments and find them very helpful, but only have limited strength and energy so have chosen to follow just a few blogs rather than leave thank-yous for the comments I receive. Hope you understand, and I do SO appreciate your feedback.
